Visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to The Kingdom of Bahrain

This commemorative book marks a historic moment in Bahrain’s history — the official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to the Kingdom in November 2022. The event symbolized Bahrain’s enduring commitment to peace, interfaith dialogue, and coexistence.

The publication features archival photographs by Abdulla Al Khan, taken in 1958, of two symbolic landmarks: Al Khamis Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the region, and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bahrain’s oldest Catholic church. These images poetically reflect Bahrain’s deep-rooted religious diversity and mutual respect.
